Technical Project Manager
Overview
The technical project manager provides day-to-day tactical support for our client’s web development projects as well as coordinate and manage development resources across accounts. This person will own and drive momentum for all day-to-day technical deliverables as the primary internal contact for projects.
The ideal candidate must be a strong decision maker, meticulous, and a great communicator. You will work closely with internal teams and clients to ensure that project goals are accomplished on time and on budget and that expectations are exceeded. Flexibility, willingness to learn, comfortable with change, and able to work with a high volume of projects are characteristics of success in this position.

Responsibilities:
• Act as the primary liaison for the web developers and internal project team to keep technical projects on schedule and on budget
• Manage a variety of web development projects and deliverables across several of clients
• Lead Agile scrum ceremonies
• Host daily stand-ups, manage sprint planning sessions and retrospective meetings
• Assign and manage tickets to web development teams and help prioritize developer workloads
• Work with Client Services on monitoring and communicating the impacts and/or risks or changes in project scope to the appropriate stakeholders, and make necessary adjustments as needed to ensure that project timelines, budgets and quality are not adversely affected
• Develop and manage a capacity plan
• With direction from Client Services, develop a sound implementation plan meeting the project strategy, within the scope, budget, timing constraints and quality
• Manage the schedule throughout the project lifecycle to track progress and make necessary adjustments
• Organize and set clear expectations for tasks and deliverables, communicating to the team
• Mitigate risk through proactive, consistent, and clear communication
• Maintain continuity of processes, learning and quality assurance across all projects
• Ensure strong relationships are built and maintained with project team members
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
A successful Technical Project Manager will possess the following level of experience:
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to learn new systems and processes quickly and work in a deadline-oriented environment
• Multi-task to simultaneously manage multiple clients
• Able to effectively communicate project status, requirement, changes, risks and issues to appropriate stakeholders, including clients
• Ability to drive a project profitability
• Sharp eye for detail and ability to communicate independently in structured, concise format across cultures and with those who identify with English as a second language (ESL)
• Sound decision-making, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Strong time- and self-management skills
• Personal accountability and follow-up essential
• Comfortable with information exchange, asking questions, pushing back as appropriate, and seeking feedback and constructive criticism
• Strong technical understanding and experience working with Atlassian products, including JIRA/Confluence and Github
Desired Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or related area of study
• 5+ years of technical program or project management of web development teams to produce and sustain websites
• Experience collaborating in building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules required
• Familiarity practicing Agile Scrum team ceremonies
• Experience interfacing directly with clients and third-party partners required
• Validated success leading projects in a fully remote and globally dispersed environment
Certifications:
• CSPO required
• CSM required
• PMP a plus
• AHPP a plus
• PgMP or PfMP a plus
This position is located in the greater Washington D.C. and Philadelphia markets with the ability to work remotely.
