Principal, Creative Director

Johnny Vitorovich

Known for making startling statements like “Benjamin Franklin was the world’s most insightful marketer,” Johnny is quick to provide his rationale—entertainingly, refreshingly, and convincingly. A Creative Director at Grafik for more than 25 years, Johnny heads the agency’s creative department, leading a diverse team in developing distinctive brands and visual identities. He has led branding and rebranding initiatives for The National Museum of the American Indian, C-SPAN, Merritt Clubs, and JK Moving Services; place-branding efforts for Discovery District Maryland, The Neighborhoods of EYA, the City of Lynchburg, Va., National Landing, and National Harbor; and creative campaigns for Intelsat, PhRMA, and the NFLPA.

A graduate of the School of Visual Arts in New York City, Johnny measures three decades in the business by two things: results for clients and the growth of the creatives he mentors. His design and photography have been recognized by Communication Arts, AIGA, ReBrand, Graphis, HOW, PRINT, and the ADDY Awards, but he takes equal pride in helping designers sharpen their thinking, master the craft of brand identity, and grow into creative leaders—whether at Grafik or wherever their careers take them.
