SVP, Client & Brand Strategy
Just before setting a strategy so different yet so perfect that a campaign nearly builds itself, Jay often apologizes for wandering into “creative territory.” He’s been doing exactly that for more than 30 years — 20 of them with Grafik. After earning his MBA from Harvard, Jay began his career in Chicago at Leo Burnett, launching new products and multi-channel marketing campaigns for major national brands such as General Motors and Keebler, before going on to lead major marketing accounts for household names including MCI, Mobil Oil, Lockheed Martin, and the University of Miami. At Grafik, Jay has served as strategy and account lead for government clients including NIH, the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory, DHS, and the firm’s 15-year engagement with the U.S. Census Bureau. He has also led research and strategy for professional services firms Booz Allen, Deloitte, and ICF, and continues to tackle strategic branding and marketing challenges for Vantage Data Centers, the Hertz Foundation, and Grafik’s key consulting firm and defense technology clients.
